4.Photo Sharing

I'd like to use photo sharing as a resource to further enhance learning and sharing classroom images with students. My students already use their own online account to use their original images in class projects. I'm planning on exploring ways to use this much more!

3.Lifelong Learning

7.5 Habits to Lifelong Learning
1. Begin with the end in mind.
This can sometimes be hard because I like to jump in and get started! I know what I want to learn or do, but I don't always plan all the steps and deadlines to get there. And I can get sidetracked and start something else. See my previous post on this topic!
2. Accept responsiblity for your own learning.
3. View problems as challenges.
4. Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner.
5. Create you own learning toolbox.
6. Use technology to your advantage.
7. Teach mentor others.
7.5 Play
Easiest. Learning has to be fun!

2.Blog

A good blog will inform, entertain, link, teach, be focused, have passion, photography, visuals.

Blogs could enhance an existing school website by giving people an opportunity to learn about programs, news and events. It could also be a way for the school's "customers" to be involved.

A woman I know self-published a book recently. It has taken her a year or more to write it, have it edited and find a printer. Now she has to find an audience to purchase it. Do I think blogs are an easier way for people to self-publish? You bet!

Web 2.0 is essential to learning in the 21st Century. My students use Blackboard for daily announcements, lessons (pdf files / Jing demo videos / soon to be added podcasts), communication with me and other students, submission of assignments. I am planning on incorporating more as I learn. I am fortunate to teach a computer class where students have daily access. My "classroom" now has accessibility to my students on their schedule.
